MIRAGE (“Under A Common Moon” – August Postcard Poems 2021)

“What does the Moon see in the mirror, my darling?”

A mirror

fashioned of basalt

dredged from the

Sea of Tranquility

reflects the Moon’s surface

nourished by the wishes of

Earth’s children

Ripe with desire

to fulfill

all those pleas
