FRIEDA ROSE LOVES THE NIGHT (August Postcard Poetry 2018)

She drapes the dark around her

Midnight mink coat

Mysterious, magnificent

A reflection of what is hidden

Beneath daylight’s invisible mask

Celestial bodies,

moons, stars

Constellations of atoms

known as Frieda Rose

All proclaim majesty of the sun

While thieves of night

steal its passion.
